About

A camera was never the point. Attention was.

The story, the journey, and the tools behind the work.

My story

I picked up a camera at nineteen, on a trip I couldn't otherwise afford to remember. It started as a way to hold onto places — and became, slowly, a way to actually look at them. I studied design formally and photography informally, through a decade of missed shots, over-edited images, and the occasional frame that stopped me in my tracks.

Today my work sits between editorial portraiture, unposed street observation, and long-form personal projects. I shoot digitally for commercial work and on film when a project can afford to slow down. What hasn't changed since the first roll: I'm still more interested in what a place feels like than what it looks like.
